I can’t say enough about Barranca Boutique Salon. From everyone who works there, to the energy when you walk in, the cleanliness, the décor, the quality of the products, and their work everything is amazing. My mom had the pleasure of Giuseppe doing her hair yesterday (colour correction), and he is top-notch. Very educated and takes so much pride in his work. You don’t leave his chair until you are fully happy and she definitely was. Thank you so much! We will see you in 6–8 weeks for a refresh ☺️

Rosa was so welcoming. The whole visit felt like a catch up with my best friend, which was lovely as it was my first visit to the salon and my first hair appointment since moving to Canada. The salon was beautiful and everyone was smiley and friendly. I felt so relaxed! Rosa just knew exactly what to do with my hair, I completely trusted her. I love my hair and will definitely be back! I wanted to try a new salon and selected this based on the review. I called for a same day appointment and only Giuseppe had the availability to accommodate me. The service was really nice and I wanted to try a new style. However, I did not like the cut at the end and my face was evidence of the disappointment. However, just after two days, I could not stop looking at my hair for how beautiful it looked with this cut. Apparently, this is where I have to go for my haircut from now on. Moreover, when I asked for special treatment to be added, they said they use very good shampoo and conditioner and I might not even need the treatment. What I was recommended proved to be right and I also liked that he explained me how I can take good care for my hair without having to use any specific brand. Can’t stop being happy about their service and warm professionalism.

Vince was so lovely! I had come in with previously twice bleached and twice coloured hair, patchy in some spots, but he managed to work his magic and resulted in the right image.

Recently had a great experience! I came in to dye my hair and get highlights. Vince and his team were very welcoming and made sure I left the salon happy. He also gave me great advice on maintaining my hair. Definitely worth visiting!

Rosa is awesome! She and the rest of the team at Barranca are so welcoming and friendly. A beautiful salon with bright natural light and lots of snacks/pastries offered the entire visit- say yes to the latte (they make a mean one!) I’m so happy with my hair, She understood immediately what I was hoping to achieve and explained what she was doing step by step. The products they used smell amazing and I am in love with the end result. I often do my own hair but this service was so lovely I will definitely be back. Thanks team, see you soon!

I recently visited Barranca Hair Salon and I’m still smiling about the experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of friendly chatter — the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed. I was lucky enough to have Guiseppe cut my hair, and he worked his magic. He transformed my hair into the cutest bob: flattering, fresh, and easy to style. He really listened to what I wanted and offered suggestions that made the end result even better than I pictured. Before the cut, I was treated to a thorough shampoo/hair mask and a wonderful scalp massage — I could’ve stayed in that chair all day. It felt luxurious and set the tone for the rest of my appointment. And then, the sweetest surprise — I was served a delicious piece of cake! It’s those little thoughtful touches that make a salon stand out, and Barranca definitely does. Overall, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I left feeling pampered, refreshed, and absolutely loving my hair. This is now my go-to salon, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for great service, a skillful stylist, and a joyful vibe. ✨✂️

Tanya did my hair today, and I am beyond pleased! Barranca in general is an amazing place, full of friendly, professional, yet down-to-earth staff. I felt welcome from the moment I stepped in the door. I was offered my choice of either, coffee, latte, cappuccino, espresso, etc...and even offered a second cup. Stylist Tanya was friendly, professional and attentive, taking time to let me decide on my colour, and very knowledgeable. End result was exactly what I had wanted. Love Barranca, and I'll definitely be coming back.😃

I had an amazing experience at Barranca Boutique with my Stylist Tanya, she was very precise and took her time to make sure I loved what I was leaving with (for reference I have 3B/C curls so getting my hair straight is a mission)! The front desk staff are very warm and welcoming. I will be coming again 🫶

I had the absolute best experience with Tanya! From the moment I walked in, she was so warm and welcoming — and to top it off, she even offered me homemade baklava during my appointment! Such a kind and thoughtful gesture that instantly made the whole experience feel special. On top of that, she did my hair flawlessly. Every detail was perfect, and she was completely open and patient with any request I had. It’s rare to find someone who not only nails the result but also makes the process so enjoyable. If you’re looking for a stylist who’s talented, kind, and genuinely cares about her clients, Tanya is the one.

Barranca was hands down the best salon I have ever been to in my life. Every staff member was so incredibly kind and welcoming. Giuseppe did my hair and it turned out absolutely incredible. I would recommend this salon to everyone and anyone truly. They made me an amazing latte while my color was sitting and were extremely attentive. Easiest 5 star review!!!!

Been coming to Kristina for years—always a beautiful experience and end up with healthier feeling hair. Can’t recommend highly enough! Everyone there is always so pleasant and upbeat and complimentary, the whole experience is epic.

From the moment you step into the salon, it feels like home. The warmth is instant, and the staff make sure you’re comfortable and cared for throughout your entire visit. Giuseppe was my stylist. Before we started, he took the time to really understand my needs, gave honest suggestions, and showed so much knowledge and care. Giuseppe absolutely nailed my hair transformation. I came in with thick, dark, long hair and he completely transformed me into a new person with a stunning natural bronde balayage. The results? Immaculate. Pictures and videos don’t even do justice to the artistry Giuseppe created. I have been looking for a place to go to for a while since I moved to Waterloo and I can confidently say this is the one. If you want not just amazing hair but an experience where you feel valued and leave looking flawless—this is THE place. Got my haircut by Christina and it was such a great experience! She is so kind and the vibes in the salon are amazing! Everyone who works there is so friendly. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone new to KW or just looking for a new salon
